Getting Started with Audexon

Set up your firm, create your first engagement, and start auditing — in 10 minutes.

1

Create Your Firm

Sign up at audexon.com and create your account. On the onboarding screen, choose "Create a firm", enter your firm name and the access code we sent you.

You become the Partner (Admin) automatically. You have full control over everything.
2

Invite Your Team

Go to the Team page from the sidebar. Enter your colleague's email and choose their role.

RoleWhat they do
PartnerCreates engagements, final sign-off, closes files
SupervisorReviews work, first-level approval, returns to preparer
PreparerPerforms procedures, adds documents and findings, submits for review
Team members just sign up with the email you invited — no access code needed for them.
3

Prepare Your Shared Folder

Before creating an engagement, set up a shared folder where your team will store all audit documents. You can use OneDrive, Google Drive, or any cloud storage your firm already uses.

  1. Open your cloud storage and create a new folder (e.g. "ABC Corp 2025")
  2. Share the folder with all team members
  3. Copy the folder link — you will need it in the next step
Keep the link handy — you will paste it when creating your engagement.
4

Create an Engagement

From the Dashboard, click "New Engagement". Enter the client name, year-end date, and paste the shared folder link you prepared in Step 3.

5

Upload the Trial Balance

Inside the engagement, go to the Trial Balance tab and upload your TB from Excel or CSV. Map the columns (Account Code, Balance, Classification) and import.

6

Create Sections

Click "New Section" to create audit sections (e.g. Cash & Bank, Accounts Receivable). For each section:

7

Add Audit Procedures

Inside each section, add procedures one-by-one or upload from Excel (click "Upload from Excel" and use the template).

8

Review & Sign-Off

The workflow follows three levels:

Review notes appear as a conversation thread at the bottom of each section.
9
